Halloween Will Be Rescheduled in Rye

Mayor Doug French said trick or treating will happen this season.

All the disappointed ghouls and goblins who never got to prowl the streets threatening tricks for treats on Oct. 31 will have their day soon, according to Mayor Douglas French.

Halloween trick or treating will be rescheduled for whatever day the schools decide to have their Halloween parties and have kids wear costumes to school, he said.

Rye's trick or treating was postponed due to the many downed wires, powerless homes, fallen trees and dangerous conditions in Rye two days after Halloween Sandy struck on Oct. 29.
