Gelfarb Presents 'Tools for Change' Students with $1,500 Check

The students gave a presentation on their research on civic engagement to the Rye Town Council.

Legislator David Gelfarb presented a $1500 check from Westchester County to an organization called "Tools for Change" Tuesday night at a reception held before the Rye Town Council meeting in Port Chester.

Students from Blind Brook, Port Chester and Rye Neck High Schools took part in the "Tools for Change" seminar led by Debbie Reisner and Dr. Bill Tobin, a professor at Duke University. The group of 32 students researched civic engagement and presented their work to the Rye Town Council.
