Elected Assemblyman Steve Otis to Be Sworn In Saturday

Rye former mayor Steve Otis will be sworn in to his new elected position of state assemblyman for the 91st district on Saturday.

The ceremony to swear-in Steve Otis as a member of the New York State Assembly will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Rye City Hall.  Otis will represent the 91st Assembly District in Westchester County, which includes the communities of Larchmont, Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Port Chester, Rye and Rye Brook.

Assemblyman Otis served as Mayor of the City of Rye from 1998 to 2009 and is a former president of the Westchester Municipal Officials Association. He served as Counsel and Chief of Staff to Senator Oppenheimer for the past 27 years.  The Assemblyman began his career in state government as a Senate Fellow and Legislative Director to State Senator Jeremy S. Weinstein.
