Video: Democratic Convention Takes Over Rye Brook Hilton
Take an inside look at the first day of the Democratic Convention.
As the Democratic Convention began at the Rye Brook Hilton Tuesday, Patch.com was on hand to get reactions from those attending the event. Although Tuesday's agenda consisted of smaller meetings of Democratic groups, volunteers were on hand to give out information on the candidates they support.
It is expected that Attorney General Andrew Cuomo will receive the Democratic Party nomination for Governor on Thursday, the same day he is scheduled to speak to fellow Democrats. However, even with this excitement, concerns about New York's unfinished budget still weighed heavily with many at the convention.
