Astorino to Endorse Carvin for Congress Today

An announcement from the Carvin campaign.

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino will endorse Rye Town Supervisor Joe Carvin (R) for Congress in New York's 17th Congressional Distict at 11:30 a.m. outside the Hawthorne Metro North Station at 398 Elwood Ave. Carvin, a life-long businessman, has reduced the size of Rye Town Government 25 percent since taking office in Jan. 2008 and has cut taxes every year. He has also refused to accept the $17,000 salary.

Carvin and Astorino share a firm belief that Westchester's nation-leading property taxes hurt families, small businesses and job growth.

And this is news in what way? Real news would be if Astorino was to endorse Carvin's opponent - not something I'm seeking. Just trying to make clear that giving this press release a headline is not really about distributing news, but rather about giving free advertising to a Patch contributor.
