Police received a report of extremely loud music and banging on Dearborn Ave. on Jan. 24 at 7:33 p.m. Police warned the person making the noise against any further acts of harassment.

Excessive noise on Forest Avenue was reported on Jan. 25 at 11:33 p.m. Police report an adult party was dispersing.

Blasting Music Too Loud

Police received a report of loud music from a car on Jan. 28 at 2:34 a.m. on High Street. The driver was advised of the complaint and moved from the area.

Woman Calls Police on Neighbor Playing Piano

A Peck Avenue resident called the police on her neighbor for playing the piano on Jan. 29 at 7:11 p.m., according to police reports. The woman told the police officer who responded and could not hear the music from outside that her neighbor had called the police on her for playing a radio so she felt she could call on her for playing the piano.

Snow Ordinance Violations in Rye

Rye City police issued 14 tickets for cars parked illegally, in violation of the city snow ordinance on Jan. 25, 26 and 30. The tickets were issued on Wainwright Street, Rosemere Street, Milton Road, Orchard Avenue, Theodore Fremd Avenue, Chestnut Avenue, Purchase Street, Oakwood Avenue, Elm Place, Purchase Street, Palisade Road and Boston Post Road.
