Tidal Flooding Caused Rye Road Closure

Several Rye roads were closed due to tidal flooding around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

A Nixle message from the Rye City Police Department, 10:56 pm.: Roads closed due to tidal flooding: Kirby Ln, Stuyvesant Av, Milton Rd at Hewlett. High winds, caution for wires down

We are experiencing tidal flooding on Kirby Lane, Stuvesant Avenue, and Milton Road between Dearborn and Hewlett Venues resulting in temporary road closures. Please plan alternate routes and do not drive into standing water. Flooding should subside with the outgoing tide.

High winds are resulting in scattered trees/limbs and wires down. Please use caution and avoid unnecessary travel.
