Teens Report Attempted Armed Robbery at Rye Rec
Police are investigating the incident and asking the public for help.
A man wielding a knife attempted to rob three teenage girls at Rye Recreation Park around 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, police report.
The victims told police that the man, armed with a knife, approached them at the park and they ran away. No one was injured and no property was taken, police report.
The man is described as a white male in his early 20s, clean shaven, wearing a red sweater with black on the bottom, a baseball hat, and carrying a red backpack, armed with a knife.
