String of Car Larcenies Reported in Rye This Week

Five car larcenies on different streets have been reported in Rye over the last three days, according to the police.

Remember to lock your cars and do not keep valuables in your vehicle overnight.  Here is more information, the dates and times reflect when the report was filed – all larcenies occurred overnight and mostly in unlocked vehicles:

-Forest Avenue, Sept. 11, 6:53 a.m. – someone entered a vehicle and ransacked it over night but nothing was reported missing.

-Oakwood Avenue, Sept. 11 at 7”46 a.m. – someone entered two cars overnight and ransacked them. Change was missing in one and nothing was missing from the other.  

-Overhill Avenue, Sept. 11 at 8:36 a.m. – someone stole items from a vehicle.

-Hayward Place, Sept. 11 at 12:39 p.m. – someone stole items from a vehicle.

-Fernwood Avenue, Sept. 10 – a tablet was removed from a vehicle sometime over night.
