Dog Barking Complaint

A Purchase Street resident complained of a dog barking all day on Sept. 15 at 4:12 p.m. Police were unable to locate the alleged barking dog.

A barking dog was reported on Purchase Street on Sept. 15 at 5:16 p.m. and its owner was issued a summons.

Dog Off Leash

Someone reported a dog off leash on Walnut Street, stating it is a constant problem on Sept. 12 at 7:18 p.m. Polce advised her to call when she sees the dog off the leash.

 Deer Struck

Police received a report of a deer struck on Sept. 13 at 5:49 p.m. on Playland Parkway. Westchseter County DPS was notified.

 Saint Bernard Loose in Park

A caller reported a Saint Bernard was running loose in Rye Town Park on Sept. 14 at 6:53 a.m. and said his dog has been attacked by the same dog before. Police spoke with both dog owners and neither was attacked or injured.

 Off Leash Dogs

Police received a report of numerous dogs on the athletic field without leashes on Sept. 13 at 10:27 a.m. on Milton Road at Rye Beach. The people packed up their dogs and left the field.

 Doberman Reported Alone in Disbrow Park

A Doberman was reported to be alone in Disbrow Park on Sept. 14 at 5:33 p.m. It was gone when police arrived.

 Sick Bat Reported

An Evergreen Avenue resident was concerned about a possible sick bat on her property on Sept. 13 at 3:08 p.m. Police assisted with the relocation of the bat.
