Naming Robby Falk as interim Commissioner and Pickup wants to talk about high standards? ================================ Did Pickup tell Sack and the City Council that according to Falk, he didn't graduate from high school? ======================================= Did Pickup fill Sack and the City Council in on these other little tidbits: ======================================= Falk frequently called the black janitor at the Rye PD a "Shine" and only stopped after being ordered to stop after several complaints were filed. ======================================= Falk got caught lying and was accused of incompetence by the PBA and Novak who then removed Falk from his administrative duties. Falk tried to use the excuse that he had never read the Collective Bargaining Agreement (the one and only controlling labor/management document for the entire Rye PD). When Novak heard this she threatened to flog Falk on the Village Green. ======================================= Falk was investigated for possessing a stolen handgun and was subsequently disciplined. ======================================= Falk kept a handgun equipped with a silencer in his desk. A silencer. Is that even LEGAL? ======================================= I seem to remember when the City Council was considering eliminating Falk's position a couple of years ago, he spoke at a City Council meeting and I believe referred to having a gun on him. ======================================= According to Falk, he shot and killed an unarmed man at his house. If true, it is unknown if the gun equipped with the silencer or gun investigated as stolen or if other gun was used. ======================================= Falk offered a bribe to the PBA President to try and save a Police Commissioners job.
