Rye Residents Robbed at Knifepoint, Police Report

Two Rye residents were robbed in Rye Town Park, according to police reports.

A Rye man and woman were robbed at knifepoint near the lifeguard station at Rye Town Park on Aug. 8 at 12:21 a.m., according to Rye police. The suspects were described as three Hispanic males, one wearing a long sleeve red and white striped shirt, two wearing sneakers and one possibly wearing a black bandana, according to a report the Westchester County police made to Rye PD. The suspects took the 24-year-old man and 22-year-old woman’s cell phones and wallets, Rye Police Commissioner William Connors said. No one was injured and police have not made any arrests at this time.
