Rye Man Warned Following Crash in CT

The accident happened last week.

A car crashed into another vehicle before hitting a utility pole that fell, closing a Wilton, Connecticut road for some time last Thursday afternoon.

According to police, Maurizio Rosamilia, 34, of Rye N.Y. was driving on Wolfpit Road on Feb. 14 when he struck the right rear of a car stopped in the street, waiting to turn on to Wolfpit Lane. Rosamilia told police he couldn’t see the car because of the glare from the sun. Rosamilia then tried to avoid crashing into the car,and clipped its rear bumper before swerving into a utility pole, which fell and landed on the roof of his car.

Rosamilia was issued a written warning for following too closely.

Neither driver was injured.
