Rye Man Gets DWI in Greenwich

Greenwich police arrested a Rye driver for DWI.

A Rye, NY man faces a driving while intoxicated charge after Greenwich Police he was stopped for speeding on West Putnam Avenue just before 2 a.m. Aug. 4.

Steven Blair Strati, 59, of 280 Milton Rd., Rye, is accused of driving about 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, and having slurred speech when police stopped him. Strati also failed fieldl sobriety tests.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to drive in the proper lane. Strati was released on a $250 bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 20 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
