Rye Brook Police to Host Child Safety Seat Check Event

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for children ages 1 – 12 years old. Many times deaths and injuries can be prevented by the proper use of car seats, booster seats and seat belts. On September 14, 2013 from 10:00 pm to 2:00 pm, the Rye Brook Police Department will host a child safety seat check event at the Rye Brook Fire House located at 940 King Street, Rye Brook, NY.

Child safety seat inspectors will be on hand to assist people with the proper installation of child safety seats, will correct improperly installed seats, and will check for seats that are broken or recalled.

There is no cost for the event and no registration is necessary, parents should bring their own child safety seats to be installed or to be inspected.
