There have been reports in other communities of people possibly impersonating Con Ed personnel, requesting to enter into homes and/or requesting personal information.
Please note the following:
1.) Con Ed personnel are required to wear photo ID badges and to
show them upon request.
2.) If anyone who claims to be a Con Ed employee and requests entry or asks for information without showing ID, please do not answer any questions or let them into the residence.
3.) Contact the Police Department at (914) 967-1234. If possible provide a description.
