Police Charge Rye Man With Driving While Intoxicated

The following arrest information was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Rye man faces a driving while intoxicated charge after police say he flipped his vehicle while driving near the intersection of Biltmore Avenue and Purchase Street.

Christopher Daiber, 22, of 1 Puritan Road, Rye, was sitting alongside his vehicle with a cut on his shoulder when police arrived at the scene on June 24 at about 1:30 a.m. Harrison EMS moved Daiber into an ambulance. After smelling alcohol at the scene of the crash an officer conducted a field sobriety test, which police say Daiber failed.

Harrison police arrested Daiber at the scene and charged him with driving while intoxicated. He provided police with a blood sample to determine his blood-alcohol content after he was transported to White Plains Hospital.
