Police Cases: Rye Brook

These are some of the cases being investigated by the Rye Brook Police department since May 1.

Burglary

May 3- Doral Greens Drive W.  A homeowner reported leaving her house in the afternoon and returning to find her dresser drawers open. On closer look, she realized approximately $5000 worth of jewelry and a $1000 computer were stolen. Police found evidence of forced entry, investigation is ongoing.

Larceny

May 3- 1100 block of King St. A snow blower valued at $2100 was reported stolen from a storage room.

May 7- 900 block of Anderson Hill Rd.  A hotel guest reported that she left a gift bag and cash on a table in her room for more than eight hours. When she returned, both were missing. After contacting housekeeping, the guest found the gift bag in the trash, but not the cash. Investigation is open.

Vehicle & Traffic Arrest

May 7-Hawthorne Ave. A police officer pulled over a blue Jaguar after noticing its expired inspection sticker.  When asked for identification, the driver– Consiglia Marsili, 57, of Port Chester–told the officer she was "trying to get a conditional license." After checking her record, the officer found out Marsili's New York State driving privileges had been revoked due to her 2 previous DWI arrests. Marsili was arrested for having an expired inspection, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle- 3rd degree, and use of a vehicle with no ingition interlock.  Marcili posted bail and is due to appear in Rye Town Court on May 25.
