Police Called on Alleged Fight at Rye Rec

Rye police received an anonymous call about an alleged fight between two tenth graders at Rye Recreation softball field on Feb. 1 at 3:08 p.m. The police reported it was unfounded.

A young Rye resident said several other teens chased him and shot him with a paint ball gun on Purchase Street and Boston Post Road on Feb. 2 at 2:17 a.m. He could not provide any further description and police did not find the suspects. The target of the shooting did not file a report.

Kids Issued Warning

Police issued a warning to a group of kids in the area of 169 Theodore Fremd Avenue on Feb. 2 at 11:37 p.m.. The kids were told to disperse.

Police provided crowd control at a Rye High School varsity basketball game after receiving a call of disorderly conduct on Feb. 5 at 7:50 p.m.
