Nine Leaf Blower Violations Reported This Week

Police responded to nine complaints of leaf blowers or lawn equipment this week and issued one warning.

Leaf Blower or Lawn Equipment Complaints from Oct. 10 to Oct. 16:

On Oct. 10 at 4:59 p.m. there was a report of two leaf blowers being used at the same time. Police responded and reported the leaf blower user was gone on arrival.

On Oct. 12 at 8:43 a.m. police received a report of two leaf blowers being used on Rye Road, which is a city code violation. The user was issued a warning, according to police report.

On Oct. 13 at 12:47 p.m. police received a report that a leaf blower and lawn mover were being operated simultaneously, a violation of the city code, on  Grace Church Street. Police found no landscapers working on premise and the caller’s claim to be unfounded.

On Oct. 15 at 11:13 a.m. a resident reported multiple leaf blowers being operated on Greenhaven Road, a city code violation. Police Officer Kenny was dispatched and checked the area and found no violations.

On Oct. 15 at 3:22 p.m. a resident reported multiple leaf blowers on a property on Grace Church Street. Police arrived and found one leaf blower in use and advised the landscapers for the future about the city code on leaf blowers.

On Oct. 15 at 7:54 p.m. a caller reported a power saw in use on boston post road and library lane. The user was issued a warning.

On Oct. 16 at 10:15 a.m. police received a report of leaf blowers on Grace Church street. There were no landscapers on location and no violation, police said.

A leaf blower violation was reported at 89 grace church street on Oct. 16. Police found the user was gone on arrival.

On Oct. 16 at 2:28 p.m. police received a report that two pieces of law equipment were operating simultaneously on Brevoort Lane, a violation of city code. The report was unfounded. 

On Oct. 14 at 7:47 p.m. a caller stated that a circular saw was in operation in the area between Lesters and the gas station on Boston Post Road.
