Expect Traffic Sunday for Rye Derby

The Rye Derby will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013. The five mile race, which begins on Purchase Street and runs through a large section of the City, will begin at 10:15 A.M. The one mile race, which runs through the Purchase Street/Orchard Avenue/Theodore Fremd Avenue area, will begin at 12:15 P.M. Although most of the routes will remain open to traffic, some temporary detours and intermittent street closings will be necessary, particularly in the downtown area. Please plan accordingly, allow extra travel time, and use caution for runners in the roadway. Thank you.
