Emergency Crews Respond to Fire at Rye Ridge Shopping Center Wednesday

At noon Wednesday, the Village of Rye Brook alerted residents to a fire that happened at the Rye Ridge Shopping Center that morning via a Nixle Alert. They reported that emergency crews were on the scene and that the fire caused some businesses to close. They urged residents to not cross into closed off areas and to be aware of possible traffic congestion. 

According to an emergency services report, the fire was an inside electrical fire, that Con Edison, building and health departments and that the Port Chester and Rye Brook fire houses responded to the call, but this information has not been confirmed by the Fire Department.
