Drunk Teen Throws Fit While Being Arrested Post Prom

A 17-year-old boy was charged with disorderly conduct after he was prevented from entering an after-prom party due to intoxication at Rye Golf Club on June 1 at 2:20 a.m., according to Rye city police.

When the boy's mother came to pick him up, he allegedly became agitated and started kicking the inside glass of her car, cracking the windshield, according to the police report. He then got out of the car shouting and acting violently and in a threatening manner, according to police.

He struggled with officers and would not enter the police car willingly. When he was placed in police car he began kicking the passenger side door and caused damage to it. Police believe the boy was under the influence of either drugs and/or alcohol, but they are not sure what, according to Police Commissioner William Connors.
