Truck Stuck Under Bridge

On Jan. 1 at 9:18 p.m. a caller reported his box truck was stuck under a bridge on Locust Ave. 

DPW Worker Knocked Over by Vehicle

On Dec. 20 at 11:25 a.m. a DPW worker was knocked over by a vehicle on Fernwood Ave. and Milton Road. Police took a report of the incident.

Loud Music

On Dec. 21 at 3:51 a.m. a resident on Theodore Fremd Ave complained of loud music coming from a second floor apartment and a possible party there. Police responded and the party was shut down. 

Homeless People Under Bridge

On Dec. 21 at 3:45 p.m. Connecticut State Police requested a marked unit to I-95 under the bridge across from Avon in regards to homeless people, on Midland Ave and Cottage Street in Rye.

Lose Pit Bull Reported

A caller reported a loose, white and brown spotted pit bull on the corner of High Street and Maple Avenue on Dec. 26 at 12:09 p.m. 

Hit and Run Reported

On Dec. 26 at 1:42 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run accident with a Black BMV on Midland Ave and Peck Avenue. The matter was closed with a report.

 Truck Knocks Down Wires

On Dec. 27 at 3:18 p.m. a caller reported that a truck knocked down wires on Midland Avenue and Palisade Road.

Dog Complaint

On Dec. 28 at 2:53 p.m. police received a report of a brown and white pit bull loose in Gagliardo Park. It was gone on arrival.

Dead Deer

On Dec. 29 at 9:59 a.m. a caller reported a dead deer on his property on park Street.

Missing Car

On Dec. 29 at 10:39 p.m. a caller stated that he was away and his son’s friend saw his car being driving around town. The car is supposed to bein a locked garage so he asked police to check his home. Police checked the homeowners garage for the vehicle with negative results. The matter was closed with no report. 

Christmas Tree in the Road

On Dec. 30 at 5:49 p.m. a Christmas tree was reported in the roadway on Milton Road and Rye Beach Ave. The tree was moved out of the roadway.
