City Of Rye's New MyDailyCall

The City of Rye Police Department has just recently implemented MyDailyCall, which comes from the same company that runs the CodeRED emergency notification services.


MyDailyCall provides daily telephone calls, up to two times daily; to provide a friendly contact to the elderly, to those who live alone or to anyone who may benefit from a reassurance call. This service is provided to those who would lie to be a part of it at no cost. To sign up to be a part of this great service contact the police department to select the frequency and the days on which the system will contact you, as well as an emergency contact that will provide immediate follow up if the system doesn’t receive a response from the participant during the call.


“This automated system allows us to ensure the safety and welfare of some of our most vulnerable residents. We know the system is a benefit to both those participating and their families as it provides much needed daily contact to make them feel more secure and safe,” said Police Commissioner William Connors.


“The Department has had similar systems in place since the 1990’s-first, the RUOK program, followed by Guardian Calling. MyDailyCall is the most recent development, and coincides with our implementation of the CodeRED telephone notification system. We encourage residents who are in need-particularly the elderly or homebound –to register for the service,” said Connors.
