City Of Rye Appoints Two New Police Officers

A new year has begun and this means new beginnings for two new City of Rye Police Officers.


The City of Rye has appointed two new police officers effective January 3, 2014, according to a press release sent out by the City of Rye Police Department.

 

Police Officer Lansing Hinrichs, a resides in Rye and is a New York State Certified Paramedic, who previously worked at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt and New York Presbyterian Hospitals in New York City.

Police Officer Latoya Anderson, is a long time resident of Rye who graduated from Johnson and Wales University, as well as Rye High School. Prior to joining the Rye Police Department, she worked as a Customer Service Representative for Phillips Oral Healthcare in Stamford, Connecticut.

Officer Hinrichs and Officer Anderson will be assigned to the Westchester County Police Academy for basic training and then will begin field training, which is designed to familiarize new officers with the community and departmental procedures under the supervision of experienced officers.
