Car Larcenies Continue in Rye

Police warn residents to lock your cars and do not keep valuable items in cars.

Police continue to receive reports of car larcenies throughout Rye. This week’s reports:

A Florence Avenue resident reported that her unlocked car was rifled through overnight on Sept. 12 at 5:10 a.m. Small change was taken. She reported there were two males dressed in al black on bicycles in the area. They were gone when police arrived.

Another Florence Avenue resident reported items were stolen from her unlocked vehicle while parked in her driveway on Sept. 12 at 6:38 a.m.

 A Florence Avenue resident about a block away reported the same happened to her car and it was ransacked on Sept. 12 at 7:50 a.m., but nothing appeared to be taken.

A 3 Allendale Drive resident reported that someone entered his vehicle and items were stolen on Sept. 12 at 7:47 a.m.

 A 5 Allendale Drive resident said his vehicle was entered at 8:43 a.m. as well.
