SPI Says, 'We Can't Answer That", When in Fact They Can, and Already Have

Here's just one example of SPI'S obfuscation of facts and refusal to fully disclose tangible answers to the citizens of the Rye community who were in attendance at their "Field Zone Presentation" this week.

In the video of SPI’s 12/11/13 presentation, Bruce McLeod reads a question from the audience off of a card at approximately minute 1:01:40.  He segues into the reading of this card by saying, “Here’s a DOOZIE”.

The very valid question is: “Is the Sports Complex critical to the economics of Sustainable Playland?”

McCleod leads the group through a very obtuse, vague and convoluted non-answer which is basically summed up by his comment, “We can’t answer that.”

At the October 8th, 2013 Westchester County Board of Legislators Government Operations Committee meeting, Chairwoman Catherine Borgia starts trying to get information from the SPI presenters, specifically SPI’s President Kim Morque. See minute 47:00 of the Gov. Ops meeting video for the beginning of this exchange and continue to watch.

Around  minute 51:20 SPI’s Kim Morque clearly tells the Board of Legislators Government Operations Committee that the Field House is a ”THRESHOLD ISSUE” and a “KEY COMPONENT” of their overall plan.

So, yeah, they *could* have answered that question on December 11th. The answer is a simple, “Yes.”

Is it any wonder people were frustrated?
