RHS/RMS Construction Update

When students returned to school on Monday, September 9, the already new-and-improved Rye Middle School/High School revealed a great deal of facilities progress! While the new science wing is under construction, a number of other projects were finished over the summer. The District will provide further updates over the next several months, but current highlights are as follows: 

• Renovation of select interior classrooms has been completed and the rooms are ready for use!
• The locker room reconstruction continues as planned. The wrestling room and storage room near the gym will be used as temporary changing rooms for the first few weeks of school.
• Foundation walls are being installed at the new science wing construction site. The work is moving along on schedule for a September 2014 completion!
• All three temporary faculty parking areas have been completed with striping and signage. They have been in full use as staff members returned this week.
