POLL: Who should be the Knicks' Next Head Coach?

Mike D’Antoni is gone and now the Knicks have to decide what is next.

Since the marriage between the Knicks and Mike D’Antoni ended on March 14, the mud is being slung at the former coach and the rumor mill has been going off as to who will be the next head coach in Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks have a very talented roster from top to bottom and Owner James Dolan has deep pockets, so the thought is that the Knicks can get virtually anyone they want. Knowing the Knicks, they will want someone with experience and a proven track record.

For the time being the Knicks have promoted former Atlanta Hawks Head Coach Mike Woodson to Interim Head Coach and in his first game at the helm the Knicks beat up on Portland 121-79.

While Woodson has a very good track record as an NBA Coach, the New York media has been hypothesizing about bigger names like Phil Jackson, Jerry Sloan and even John Calipari taking the sideline in New York.

While anyone at this point would get a better response out of the orange and blue faithful then D’Antoni, the Knicks will need a coach that can control the personalities in the locker room and handle the media firestorm that comes with being in Manhattan.

Can we please allow Phil Jackson to settle into retirement??? There are many other good and qualified coaches out there and while the Knicks may have many "stars" now on the team, they can still be managed by a coach with a strong personality...other than Phil Jackson. Heck, bring back Van Gundy!

Its pretty impossible to get rid of an owner. Especially when the team is incredibly profitable.

Mr. Rinaldi; Thank you--- my post was tongue in cheek and wishful thinking.

Dont look now but Mike Woodson is now 4-0 with the Knicks this season.

Woodson 4-0 is music to my ears. Big game tonight at Philly. Knicks win this and they can start thinking about the division seriously.
