Ex-Rye Attorney Living High At Sea?

It’s only natural when people are robbed of both millions and justice that their awareness of those who let them down (or participated in the fleecing) is heightened. It was not too surprising therefore when reports reached us yesterday from tiny Cooper Island in the British Virgin Islands that a certain Ex-Rye attorney, now with a big political appointee job in White Plains was allegedly spotted on a peculiar local vessel named The Sequel P. Our correspondent took some photos.

That said - until we get further confirmation and corroboration it would be inappropriate to speculate about this. After all, our correspondent may have been flat wrong in his identification and Rye’s ex-attorney might just actually be sitting at his desk in White Plains, doing the county’s business this week as usual. Certainly the spate of meetings and site visits concerning the fate of Playland, in which he’s played an active role, would seem to rule out his personally decamping for such a contemporaneous and luxurious lark.

About The Sequel P however, quite a bit of public information is available. The Sequel P was constructed in 2009 in the highly regarded Proteksan Turquoise yard in Turkey. It is 180 feet long and 30.6 feet wide. Its twin 1500 HP Caterpillar engines give it a cruising speed of 14 knots. It features a huge inventory of water toys, a RYA accredited training centre, a Jacuzzi, a Gymnasium and Zero speed stabilizers. And for those who can afford it I’m convinced its $350,000 per week charter price is a bargain.
