Edith Read Says 'No!' to Sustainable Playland!

HUGE!

Michael Risinit from LoHud/Journal News reports that the members and Board of the Edith Read Sanctuary have officially withdrawn their support of SPI.

We heard Mike Kaufman say this back in March at the BOL Open Mic where anyone with concerns were allowed to speak out and say their piece about the Playland issue. We were pretty surprised by his appearance there and he has subsequently come to a meeting with people fighting SPI to very clearly reinforce that stand. I'm glad that they took this formal step and publicly put this out there. After the shameless way SPI touted Edith Read’s original (inexplicable) support non-stop for "impressive" marketing purposes in the beginning, this is another clear indication of the continued erosion of support that SPI is suffering among people and groups who originally thought the whole thing "seemed like a good idea".
