Howard A. Singer, died peacefully at home in Rye, NY, December 22. An attorney who specialized in entertainment, arts and corporate law, he pursued many creative personal and professional interests throughout his life.
Born January 15, 1929, he grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from City College of New York and Brooklyn Law School (LLB, JD). He became a recognized authority on motion picture and theatrical law and artistic joint ventures in Eastern Europe. After military service in Army counterintelligence in the 1950s, he remained committed to military volunteer service as a member of the Veteran Corps of Artillery of New York and the New York State Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marilyn Castaldi; brother Daniel; children Barbara and Alan; grandchildren Evan and Eleanor Peters and Kelly and Ian Singer.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1076 Madison Ave. (81st St.).
