Kathy DeBernardis, 52, School of Holy Child Graduate

Kathy DeBernardis, age 52, of Fairfield, CT, the loving wife of Thomas DeBernardis and the mother of Kevin, Caroline and Lauren, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 15, 2013. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, she was a graduate of Holy Child H.S., Class of 1979 in Rye, NY and a graduate of Fordham University, Class of 1983. She was a resident of Fairfield for the past 17 years.  She was a loving wife and mother whose priority was her family. 

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her parents, Donald and Dorothea O’Keefe of Greenwich; her two sisters, Jean Marie Soucy of Wilton and Lynn Ann Maffei of Larchmont; and, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 10 a.m. directly at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road in Fairfield. Interment to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 3-8 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an education fund for Kathy’s children, the KCL Education Fund mailed to Donald O’Keefe, Five Putnam Hill, 3G, Greenwich, CT 06830.
