Great stuff to do with kids in Westchester County Saturday, Sept 21

Fall is one of Westchester County's most ABUNDANT seasons, and tomorrow is the first official day of the season. Here are great things to do "out and about" with your family this fall:

Saturday, September 21: Peekskill Farmers Market. Farm fresh produce, bread, quiche, jams, cheese, flowers, wine, pasta, and a Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener will be available. Free Parking is also available.

Saturday, September 21: Red Hawk Nation Pow-Wow at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park. Enjoy everything Native American. Dancing competitions, falconry, artisan jewelry, handmade clothing, accessories and artwork. Taste a bison burger or watch a teepee be built. Weaving demonstrations as live music fills the air.

Saturday, September 21: Barn Dance at the John Jay Homestead Historic Site in Katonah. Live entertainment by musicians of all ages. Pig Races, Country Barbecue, Ice Cream Sundaes and Cash Bar. Ages 4 and up.

Saturday, September 21: LEGO® STAR WARS™ Days at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester. Feel the force at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester’s first-ever LEGO® Star Wars™ Days! Jedi, Droids and Clone Troopers invade for two days of intergalactic fun during Star Wars™ Days, September 21 – 22.

Saturday, September 21: 14th Annual Hudson River Valley Ramble at Hudson River Valley Ramble. The Hudson River Valley Ramble is an event series that celebrates the history, culture and natural resources of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area, as well as the amazing landscape, communities, and trails throughout the region

Saturday, September 21: Hudson Valley Irish Festival. On the majestic banks of the Hudson River at Peekskill’s Riverfront Green Park, the Fifth Annual Hudson Valley Irish Fest will celebrate the positive values of the rich Irish American culture and heritage alive in the Hudson Valley today.

Saturday, September 21: Fall Festival at Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard in North Salem, NY. Saturdays and Sundays, September 7th through October 27th, 2013, 10am-5pm. Saturday, September 21: Oktoberfest at Bear Mountain State Park. German Food and Beer, Entertainment, Craft Vendors and Much More... Weekends, September 14–October 27 plus Columbus Day–October 14 Noon–6 pm. Free admission. $8 per vehicle parking fee.

Saturday, September 21: Owney Day at the Danbury Railroad Museum!. Learn about the rail-riding mascot of the United States Postal Service, Owney! Tour the Railway Post Office Car, take a Train & Turntable ride (hourly, 10:30 - 2:30), see operating layouts and real trains and enjoy Children's activities!
