Real Estate Gets Social

Real estate and technology have been crossing paths more and more lately, with an overwhelming majority of potential buyers using the Internet to search for homes. According to a joint study conducted by the National Association of REALTORS and Google, 90 percent of home buyers searched online during their home buying process in 2012 with real estate-related searched on Google growing 253 percent over the past four years.

On April 23, two professionals atop these fields will be giving a presentation on the role social media plays in the real estate transaction. Kim Arenas, an agent from Houlihan Lawrence’s Rye office will provide an update on the local spring real estate market. Chris Dessi, CEO of Silverback Social and Fox contributor, will share how social media has transformed our culture as well as its impact on real estate.

The event begins at 7 p.m. at Serendipity Labs at 80 Theodore Fremd Avenue in Rye. You can RSVP to the event by emailing Kim at karenas@houlihanlawrence.com or by texting/calling 914-262-6329 – limited space is available. For more information on Real Estate Gets Social, visit Eventbrite.
