features today about older Americans volunteering and giving back to their
Weinstein, 85, extinguished a secretary who caught fire after the 9/11 attacks 12 years ago and saved her life, TJN’s Brian Tumulty and Tania Savayan report. He is also a survivor of the World Trade Center bombing in 1993.
TJN quotes Weinstein:“I felt very strongly that I survived two major bombings for a reason,” he said. “I decided when I was able to, I would do volunteer work, work that was meaningful.” Weinstein volunteers performing Healing Touch therapy on patients at Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut once a week.
