The following release is from real estate company Houlihan Lawrence:

Houlihan Lawrence, the leading real estate firm serving New York City’s northern suburbs, was a major corporate sponsor for Walk MS 2014 in Putnam and Westchester counties and one of the largest participating teams completing the three-mile walk on Sunday, April 27. With over 70 employees participating, Houlihan Lawrence collectively raised over $10,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society’s mission to raise awareness and support research, treatment, programs and services for people living with MS.

More than 50 Houlihan Lawrence team members participated in the Westchester County event, which kicked off at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, while nearly 20 team members rallied for the cause in Putnam County, where the walk began at the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. By the day’s end, MS Walk 2014 Westchester raised $251,000 and MS Walk 2014 Putnam raised an additional $33,000 in funds, with donations still pouring in.

“Houlihan Lawrence is dedicated to raising awareness for cutting-edge MS research and treatment in the communities we serve and operate in,” said Stephen Meyers, President and Chief Executive Officer of Houlihan Lawrence. “Walk MS is a day that brings friends, families, and coworkers together to embrace an important cause, and we are very proud to be part of the continued efforts in improving the lives of people living with MS.”

As a committed National MS Society philanthropic partner, Houlihan Lawrence will continue its support of the organization throughout the year with sponsorship of the upcoming Annual Dystel Memorial Golf Classic in June and the Women on the Move Luncheon in September.
