Jump-start summer with HHF at its 4th Annual Beach Bash Benefit on Saturday June 2 from 7-11 p.m. at Manursing Island Club.  Proceeds will benefit families with premature and critically ill babies in Neonatal ICUs (NICUs) at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and other New York area hospitals.  Guests will enjoy cocktails and dinner overlooking the Sound, great raffles, a beachside marshmallow roast, and more.  Longtime Westchester residents and philanthropists, Olivia and Lawrence Blau, will be honored for their dedication to helping the NICU community.  A fun and casual evening under the stars for a great cause!

For more information on sponsorship opportunities, journal advertisements and ticket sales, please contact Donna Zion at (914) 584-8833.   Tickets start at $150 and can also be purchased online at www.haileyshopefoundation.org.   Tickets will be held at the door.  Advance registration only.  Smart Casual attire.

HHF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization co-created by Rye residents, Donna and Isaac Zion, in memory of their daughter, Hailey, who passed away in 2003 from premature birth.  HHF supports the urgent financial, emotional and educational needs of families struggling to cope with their baby’s NICU hospitalization and specialized care.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

Let's look at the appropriateness of this post. First, it's clearly an ad because it points to aRead More specific insurance agent at a specific agency to contact. Second, it attempts to hide being an ad behind what may be useful information (or not). Third, the "person" who posted it doesn't use their real name. Instead, they use a pseudonym Divorce Information NOW. That doesn’t seem terribly reassuring to me. This the third advertising post on the “announcements” space since Rye Patch converted to the new site layout. Seems a bit of a mess to me. But hopefully someone will come along and figure out who the real poster is, their link to the advertised agent and agency, and then delete the post. After all, if it’s an ad, it should be labeled as such and the poster should pay for having it run. If that doesn’t happen, Patch won’t be able to pay its employees to keep real content on the site.

Don't feel so bad. The Patch doesn't even acknowledge that PC is a waterfront community. We've allRead More been shorted.
