Come join The Apraxia Connection, a 501c3 non profit as we celebrate National Apraxia Awareness Day!  

Apraxia of speech is a severe neurological motor planning disorder that

affects childrens’ speech and general movement.  Apraxia makes it difficult or

impossible for children to accurately produce sounds, syllables and/or words

despite having a good understanding of language. These children must

undergo hundreds of hours of speech, occupational and physical therapy

over many years, without which they may never become verbal

communicators and reach their full potential.
