"I REMEMBER EVERYTHING"

This upcoming event at Sarah Lawrence College will feature the testimonies of witnesses to history whose experiences are too often ignored, trivialized, erased from the official record, and lost to posterity. It has been created by students enrolled in Stories That Need to Be Told, an Undergraduate Writing course taught by Sarah Lawrence faculty member, author, and oral historian, Gerry Albarelli.

“I REMEMBER EVERYTHING,” a staged reading by professional actors, is comprised of dramatic monologues created from the testimony of formerly incarcerated women. These women were interviewed by Sarah Lawrence students at Hour Children, a Queens, NY-based organization that provides support for women who have been through the prison system and their children. The women whose stories are being performed will be in attendance and will participate in an open discussion following the performance. Refreshments will be served.

Location on campus: Film Viewing Room in the Performing Arts Center
