The “Healthy Living Expo” at Wainwright House in Rye promises wholesome learning and fun on the Milton Harbor waterfront. This year’s Keynote Speaker is Inna Segal of Australia who has authored numerous books on health including “The Secret of Life Wellness.” Christiana Northrup, M.D. recommends “The Secret of Life Wellness” as “thrilling and right on target.”
Other speakers include Paul Jaffe who studied and practiced Zen Buddhism for over 20 years and just returned from Japan. There are many other speakers and interactive sessions including a talk by Patti Wood of “Grassroots Environmental Education,” Janice Matturo, Ph. D., on “Creative Parenting,” and a demonstration of Ayurvedic Yoga. Ample time is provided for questions. Children will create recycled art projects with Mr. Mack, plus a “Plastic Beach” from items washed up along the beach. Practitioners are on-site throughout the day by private appointment and for a fee. Services include Reflexology, JinShinDo acupressure for shoulder, neck and upper back relief, and Introduction to Acupuncture. Many healthy-living vendors have signed up to be a part of the day. “Johnson Truck” will be selling “All Natural Country Cooking” in the front parking lot. Most of the activities are outside along the harbor and will be moved inside in case of rain. Watch the website wainwright.org as details become available.
