The Committee to Save the Bird Homestead will present a guided nature walk on the Bird Homestead and Meeting House grounds. Naturalist Alison Beall will lead the program. Now that the leaves are down, the structure of trees can be seen more clearly. Examining their buds and other clues can reveal the identity of trees in winter. Participants may bring winter twigs with buds from their own yards for identification too, if they like. Ms. Beall will also discuss any birds seen during the walk. All ages are welcome. The walk will start at the Meeting House, 624 Milton Road. Participants should dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring binoculars, if they like.
