“Not Just Any Dream” is an exhibit featuring a wide range of stories taken from the testimony of eyewitnesses to large-scale historical events such as the Cultural Revolution in China, the ongoing conflict and Civil War in Sudan, the Bersih movement for election reform in Malaysia and WWII. The event will also feature stories about LGBT students in Catholic schools, retired Broadway actors, the life of a Hasidic woman, and more. The exhibit will culminate in a performance by Betty LaRoe, theatrical actress, writer, director and producer as well as SLC students who will read their own work based on or inspired by oral history. Refreshments will be served.
This event is located in the Slonim Living Room at Sarah Lawrence College.
