Dance for Parkinson's Disease

Wednesdays and Fridays

from 1:30-2:45pm

The Rye Arts Center offers a popular dance program for adults with Parkinson's.

These specialized classes will stimulate mind, body and emotion in an enjoyable and safe environment. Based on the acclaimed Mark Morris Dance Group/Brooklyn Parkinson Group Dance for PD® program that started in 2001, these classes offer participants the opportunity to learn from professionally trained dancers with an emphasis on creatively enhancing physical and spatial awareness and renewing a sense of grace, strength and mobility through a combination of modern, ballet and folk dance forms.
