League of Women Voters to Host Rye Candidates Forums

Rye Councilwoman Catherine Parker will face New Rochelle business man John Verni in a debate on Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. The LWV will host the debate between the two Westchseter Coutny Legisltive District 7 candidates at the Mamaroneck Town Center, Court Room, 2nd Floor, 740 Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.

District 7 covers Mamaroneck, Larchmont, Rye and portions of Harrison and New Rochelle

Rye City Council and Mayoral cancidates will face off in Wednesday, Oct. 30 debates at 7 p.m. at the Rye Middle School, Multi-Purpose Room, 3 Parsons Street, Rye. Read more on the debates here.

 The mayoral candidates are Joseph Sack, Nancy Silberkleit and Peter Jovanovich

City Council candidates are Kirstin Bucci, Margaret Cameron, Julia Killian, Terrence McCartney, Jason Mehler, Shari Punyon

7:50 District 6 Candidates: David Gelfarb and Mark Jaffe

8:40 District 5 Candidates: Benjamin Boykin and Miriam Levitt Flisser

Veterans Memorial Building, 210 Halstead Ave., Harrison  
Westchester County Legislative District 5 includes most of White Plains, all of Scarsdale and a portion of Harrison

Westchester County Legislative District 6 includes Rye Brook, Port Chester and a portion of Harrison

Westchester County Legislative District 7 includes Mamaroneck, Larchmont, Rye and portions of Harrison and New RochelleThese Candidate' Forums are open to the public and will be broadcast on local public access television stations.  Check for dates and times.  They will also be available for viewing on an on-demand basis on the League's website, www.LWVRRBPC.org
