And... 6. NEW RYE GOLF DOCS: Rye’s unique no-contract, no-bid, no-due diligence files, no-public vote, no-questions asked, no-questions answered, everything above/below board, Kevin Plunkett/ Steve Otis/ O. Paul Shew “special relationship” with the vaporous yet soon increasingly demanding RM Staffing actually kicked off – unbeknownst to taxpayers – in April 2007 – a few days before RM Staffing was apparently even legally incorporated (I know, “just details ted, just details”) – and within 60 days our own Scott Pickup was approving six figure disbursements of public wampum to the same RM. Who knew? I bet you didn’t. http://www.lausdeo10580.com/lausdeo10580/2013/01/new-docs-released-show-city-mngr-scott-pickup-approved-funds-for-rm-staffing-in-year-one-2007.html

In the past the Rye Record has penned stories that had a tendency to protect the City Council and the Mayor from embarrassment. I am confident that was because Robin Jovanovich the owner is married to the Deputy Mayor. I would go as far to say that Peter is Deputy Mayor in an effort to control the press in Rye. I can't tell you how important it is for a newspaper to report accurately and fairly. Hopefully we will see a change from past practices with a new editor. A new broom should sweep clean.

Don't hold your breath Heal the Harbor. Paper Boy Pete and his sister Robin are not about to let that happen in an election year. Doug Madoff French probably made the Tin Man his Deputy to keep the Wicked Witch of the East and the Tin Man in check. Dick "Stain on Rye" Filippi, AKA The Scarecrow, AKA Nobody Cares, probably wanted it too but he still has to meet with the great and powerful Oz to get his brain.

It is painful watching Filippi trying to speak at these meetings. He should really find another hobby that doesn't require him to try and articulate an opinion. His diatribe at the last meeting about personal attacks was embarrassing.

During Filippi's anti-American rant he talked about Nazis, Jews, Gays, Catholic Priests and the Ku Klux Klan. I believe Filippi's rant was a desperate response to millions of dollars of alleged corruption, possible crimes and discriminatory acts that Rye citizens have brought to the City Council's attention and are now following up as to why no action has been taken. This would make Filippi's rant all the more disturbing and alarming. I cried when I saw that nice Jewish lady ask Filippi if he was going to put her in an oven for speaking out. Do we want Dick Stain (On Rye) bringing such bigotry and stupidity to our town?

Rye Dad - I think you're giving him too much credit. He's just a dopey guy who can't speak and has no business being in politics. Much of what he said that appeared offensive was just his inability to articulate.
