Storm Causes Cancellation of Rye Brook Halloween Event
The event, "Halloween in the Park," has been canceled. Meanwhile, Con Edison is reporting several hundred customers without power in Rye and Rye Brook.
Public Works crews were out clearing downed trees and limbs all day yesterday in the village of Rye Brook. According to village administrator Chris Bradbury, the crews were working until 1:30 AM Sunday, salting, plowing, and removing roadway debris.
Additional firefighters were held overnight in the village, and police call volume was heavy.
DPW crews will return assist Con Edison crews where live wires still block the roads, “or as other needs arise.”
