Iron Chef To Visit Port Chester’s JFK Elementary

Chef Cat Cora will talk nutrition and gardens with school officials, students and Open Door nutritionists Thursday.

 Celebrity Chef Cat Cora will be sharing her knowledge on nutrition and gardening at at The John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Port Chester at noon Thursday. Cora founded Chefs for Humanity, a non-profit organization, as a way to bring the culinary community together in an effort to raise awareness and provide resources for educational, emergency and hunger-related causes. Westchester’s Open Door health clinics approach to improving nutrition by partnering with schools captured Cora’s attention.

On Thursday, Cora will visit John F. Kennedy Elementary school to discuss nutrition and gardening with school officials, students and Open Door’s nutritionists. Read more about Open Door and Chefs for Humanity below.
