Howson Indicted on Murder, Strangulation

If convicted for his wife's murder, Sleepy Hollow's Christopher Howson could face a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison.

Sleepy Hollow’s Christopher Howson has been indicted today on murder in the second degree and strangulation in the first degree charges following the January death of his wife Theresa Gorski, Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announces.

Gorski was allegedly strangled by her husband in their home in the Webber Park neighborhood. Howson, who the DA’s office reports worked freelance from home as a software programmer, called 911 early the morning of January 5 to report he had strangled his wife.

Her sister Jo Anne Gorski, of Western Connecticut, received custody of the couple's two daughters. There's been a protective order out against Howson, who has been held ever since at Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.

DiFiore said Howson is expected back in court on April 25. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison.
